Mi Sueño Winery 2006 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley:

The Sequel

No less stunning than its predecessor, our 2006 Pinot Noir Russian River is destined to be a crowd pleaser! It’s easy to see why when you consider it’s depth of color, exotic aromas & intricate layers that envelope the palate. In only its third year in production we are just starting to learn the full potential of this vineyard. Nevertheless, “word” continues to spread quickly. So fast in fact, that on Cinco de Mayo, our Russian River Pinot was poured at a prestigious White House dinner. While demand insures a level of scarcity, it will be well worth the effort if you’re fortunate enough to get your hands on a few bottles!

The wine

Provocative! Sensuous! Sexy! The depth of color is truly mesmerizing. Deep ruby red with garnet rings the color extraction is a prelude to its viscous nature. True to its variety it offers a dazzling & complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, pomegranates, cranberry, freshly cut figs accented with a pinch of all-spice and pure Mother Earth. Rich, intricate& full bodied this wine strikes an intriguing balance between fruit, tannins, acidity and toasty oak. A hint of minerality contributes to a long, satisfying finish.
